Make A New Year's Resolution:
COUCH TO 5K
PURPOSE
To change your life through running. Make a resolution you can keep: move off the couch and train to run a 5K.
WHO SHOULD JOIN
This is a program for people who want to run But have little or no experience or may be Intimidated by the thought of exercise. Let us help you move off the couch and to a healthy life.
WHAT YOU GET
You receive one-on-one training from Paula Cassidy, certified personal trainer. We will meet three times a week: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. in Memorial Park and Saturday at 7 a.m. at Spotts Park.
You receive individualized, one-on-one coaching and support. We will prepare a training schedule based on your fitness level and goals — not some generic, computer generated "program." We will run with you to help you find a comfortable pace. We design a "run walk" program that leads to more running to walking that leads to accomplishing the goal of running a 5K. We will be there with you, running and training alongside each other during the program in a group setting.
You will also be invited to RUN 101 group programs, including seminars and running clinics with running experts and social events with other runners.
COST & DURATION
$150.00 for an eight week program starting on January 2, 2014.
