PERSONAL TRAINING IS ABOUT
TRAINING TOGETHER
Want to get fit?
Who doesn't?
That's where I come in. Getting fit is about making you happy, but everyone needs a little help along the way. I tailor a program to reach your goals. We focus on strength, core training, flexibility, balance, plyos, and yes even a little cardio. Relax — it feels good to stretch the lungs! You'll feel your body change and others will tell you how good you look.
Don't take my word for it —
“I first started personal training with Paula to tone muscle and lose weight. I saw results within weeks and had a great time doing it! We laughed while I sweated my way through the workouts, which made a tough training session bearable. When we transitioned into speed work for my running, I was able to drop weight and seconds off my 5K time to achieve my PR last summer! As a runner and personal trainer who has dealt with years of overcoming injury, Paula understands challenges and the healing process which is important for anyone looking to gain strength, speed, and confidence.”

Hard work should be fun, right? Let's get results and have fun doing it.

THIS IS WHAT I DO
I'm a certified personal trainer who's helped scores of people feel happy, sexy, and fit.
“When I went to see Paula, I didn't know what to expect. I had tried a few weight loss programs before but none had worked. Paula made it easy. She taught me that my goal shouldn't just be to lose weight but instead, my goal should be to become healthy. During the time I trained with Paula, not only was I able to slim down but I was able to get toned and build muscle. Paula taught me healthier eating habits as well as simple workouts that I have been able to adapt into my everyday life. I'd recommend Paula as a trainer to anyone who is ready to get serious about obtaining a healthier lifestyle.”
-Michelle I.
What does it mean to get serious? I don't use weight machines. I'm tough, but I not a drill sergeant. Let's take intimation out of training. My philosophy is to train your body the way it moves naturally. For Michelle, we focused on nutrition and full-body workouts and cardio designed to maximize weight loss. Michelle was always moving. During our workouts, we kept Michelle's heart rate up to burn calories, tone muscles, and slim down.
WE FIT THE PROGRAM TO YOU NOT YOU TO A (COMPUTER) PROGRAM
Generic programs get generic (or no) results.
This is not an "off the rack" program. We focus on your body, your spirit, your goals. Every individual workout is part of a larger whole designed to help you be the person you want to be.
Chitra is a perfect example. There's nothing more beautiful than having a baby. And there's nothing more difficult than trying to reclaim the body you had before giving birth. We can do it together. As a mother of two I understood exactly how Chitra was feeling.
“After the delivery of my first baby, I was desperate to get on the treadmill and shed the weight I gained during pregnancy. But my normal routine in the gym didn't help me. I decided to get help by hiring a personal trainer and Paula Cassidy came as a blessing. Paula guided my training and helped me shed the extra weight in a short time. Paula really understood my needs and helped me identify and concentrate on areas that I needed to tone up. Now I am back to where I was before I was pregnant and am still losing weight. I feel so confident in myself now and am happy when people ask me how I lost so much weight so quickly. Thank you Paula.”
-Chitra Sivasankar
Chitra's training consisted of a mixture of training with heavy free weights and core strengthening. (Yes ladies, lifting heavy weights is good for you — and no, you won't “bulk up.”) Chitra was dedicated so I prepared a cardio program she followed outside of the gym. We also made sure we to focus on her nutrition. As a new nursing mother she wanted to lose weight but had to walk a fine line between eating enough and overeating.
SEE HOW "CERT" I AM
Yes — certifications matter.
Not all Trainers are Trained the Same.
The key is to find a trainer who was taught to help you change your life. I trained under the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and combine the latest scientific principles with the common sense I learned as a mother and independent business person. Fitness is a lifestyle built by working out on a foundation of good nutrition.
Certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM):
- CPT (Certified Personal Trainer)
- CES (Corrective Exercise Specialist)
- PES (Performance Exercise Specialist)
Embrace the fit side of yourself. I'll help you get there.
